PROBLEMS OF APPLYING TEACHING CLT IN VIETNAMESE CLASSROOMS
1. Ts must try to manage time, otherwise, they cannot finish the period on time. In fact, managing time is not easy at all since CLT is time-consuming. As a result, Ss are likely to lack knowledge which the curriculum requires. As we know, furthermore, textbooks were reformed and complemented. Hence the curriculum is heavy, which make Ts wearied.
2. Every S’s level is different, so it is so difficult for the teacher to teach well.
3. Ts have to be qualified because of teaching all skills.
4. Ts have to prepare a mountain of materials, which makes them really tired out.
5. Because there are a large number of Ss in the classroom, it is difficult for Ts to complete their role such as answering all Ss’ questions, monitoring all Ss’ performance or engaging in the communicative activity with Ss.
6. Learning style of Vietnamese Ss is also a challenge to Ts. That is because Ss are not used to communicating with each other. In other words, they are interested in sitting still.
7. It is very costly to evaluate Ss. Maybe the school has to spend a large sum of money organizing a communication exam, which is really a big problem.
8. Limited levels of Vietnamese Ss cause a big problem, too. Ts will meet with dreadfully difficulties when holding the activities. To tell the truth, Ss’ communication skills are really poor. Consequently, they want to speak with each other but their levels are limited.

Very Happy
